A 24-year old man was taken to the trauma center at the St. Luke’s facility after he crashed his motorcycle.  He had not been wearing a helmet and had a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.16, police said.

Lehigh Valley Live reported that a 26-year-old man tragically died on Sunday night after a motorcycle accident.  The young man was riding a black Kawasaki Sport Bike when he struck a guide rail on the east side of the northbound lane.  He was not wearing a helmet and under the influence of alcohol.  His death was caused by blunt force brain and body injuries, and it was ruled to be an accident.

Allentown PA Personal Injury Lawyer John Fox writes that on Tuesday, a 42-year-old Mansfield Township man was intoxicated when Fhis car went airborne and rolled over during a one-vehicle wreck.  Police stated that the man involved in the accident had a strong smell of alcohol on his breathe and coffee Thermos contained alcohol.  His vehicle hit several large rocks and a mailbox post.  The intoxicated man needed to be removed from the car by firefighters and rescue responders.  He was listed in fair condition. Another serious accident occurred Tuesday afternoon.  Five people, including three juveniles, were flown by medical helicopters for treatment after a two-vehicle, head-on crash.  The crash closed Route 31 in the area for about half an hour, until one lane reopened.

On Wednesday a 19-year-old may have fallen asleep while delivering newspapers before his car began veering back-and-forth across a Levanon Township road.  His 2002 Lincoln LS ran of the right side of the road and struck a mailbox.  The young man told police at the scene he was in the process of delivering newspapers and then he wasn’t sure what happened.  He believes he may have fallen asleep.  Thankfully, the teenager was not injured in the crash.

On Thursday as many as five vehicles crashed at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Route 22 West at Route 121 interchange in Bethlehem Township, PA.  Most of the vehicles were on the shoulder of the road, but one vehicle involved in the car accident was in the left lane, which slowed down traffic.  Emergency responders stated that they were checking on personal injury in the vehicle stopped in the left hand lane. A two-vehicle accident just after 6 at North Fenwick Street and Union Boulevard in Allentown also occurred on Thursday.  Two people were injured-one seriously.  One injured individual needed to be extricated from his car.  Both people were unconscious when emergency personnel first arrived and the air bags were deployed.  They were taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill.  The crash is still under investigation.
